Nutrition Assessment and Counselling Camp - 2025
Reinforcing its commitment to promoting student health and well-being, the Nutrition Counselling Centre (NCC) of the Department of Nutritional Sciences at GCWUF organized a Nutrition Assessment and Counseling Camp under the supervision of the Head of Department, Dr. Madiha Ilyas. The camp aimed to raise awareness about Iron Deficiency Anaemia, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), and the importance of healthy dietary and lifestyle practices. The camp offered comprehensive nutritional assessments, including BMI measurement, blood glucose testing, blood pressure monitoring, and body fat analysis, enabling participants to evaluate their health status. Individualized nutrition counselling sessions provided evidence-based guidance on healthy eating, disease prevention, and lifestyle modification. Educational brochures further enhanced participants' awareness of balanced nutrition and healthy living. Nearly 300 students and faculty members benefited from the initiative, receiving personalized dietary guidance and preventive health screening. The activity successfully encouraged informed health choices, early risk identification, and the adoption of healthier lifestyles, reflecting GCWUF's continued commitment to nutrition education and community well-being.
