The Department of Urdu Govt. College Women University, Faisalabad established in 1934, has been instrumental in promoting Urdu language and literature. Postgraduate classes began In 1985, leading to students achieving academic excellence with multiple medals and setting new records. The Department was upgraded to university status in 2013, introducing M.Phil. and , Ph.D. programs in Urdu in 2014. It actively fosters creative talent and research skills, connecting students with global literary traditions and modern critical theories. The biannual research journal "Tehqeed," HEC-approved since 2020, further demonstrates its commitment to nurturing youth talent. The department also offers short courses in areas like Al, internship, and capstone projects for a practical learning experience.
No nation in the world has ever progressed without mastering their own national language & literature. The literature of every language is its real asset. Urdu being not only our national language but it is also regarded as one of the most popular oriental languages. Urdu has a vital role in nation building; therefore, it becomes imperative to teach it on scientific grounds, in simple & interesting ways for much better understanding of Urdu language & literature. Our ambition is to produce such researchers that not only revive the classic heritage but also pass on this rich heritage to future generations. It is also our vision to merge classics of other languages by translating so that a universal literature come into exist.
Our mission is to provide high quality research environment. Urdu language has become a craze all over the world and it has connected us with the literary tradition and great works of cross cultural literary studies plus new critical theories, prevalent in the modern literature. We also make efforts for the development of Urdu language. It is our ambition to glory the image of the university.

This application is used for online admission both for undergraduate and graduate programs. Candidates can apply online and after merit lists are made, they visit the University for Fee Submission. All admission-related information is available on the university website.
This application is used for student registration. After obtaining admission, all students are registered and student cards are issued through this application.
This computerized system is used for keeping all records about the students. Student basic data, previous academic records, present academic records, and other student-related records are managed under this application.
This system is used for managing all semester-wise fee collections from the students. Computerized fee vouchers are issued to the students. The fee office collects fee collection data from the banks and compiles it for further processing.
After fee submission, students enroll in their courses against a particular semester. This system keeps all records related to semester-wise enrollment.
After enrollment, a central computer-based timetable is prepared. Teachers are allocated different courses. Classes, courses, and teacher combinations are managed under this application. This application is used for online student attendance.
On the basis of enrollment and class formation by using this system, teachers can enter the award lists online. As soon as a teacher enters the award list, this result is displayed online under the student portal.
