A seminar titled ???Civic Education for Tolerance and Peaceful Co-existence in a Pluralistic Society???

A seminar titled ???Civic Education for Tolerance and Peaceful Co-existence in a Pluralistic Society??? was organized at Jinnah Auditorium by Government College Women University Faisalabad. The Seminar was held in collaboration with the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) and the Center for Peace & Secular Studies, Lahore. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) presided over the session, while Dr. Asif Munir, Director General PHEC, and Ms. Saeeda Deep, Executive Director CPSS were Guests of Honor. Both emphasized the importance of civic education in promoting democratic values, constitutional awareness, and social harmony among youth. Dr. Asma Aziz, Director Student Affairs, spoke on the concept of a pluralistic society in light of Pakistan Constitution. Two documentary videos on Women Empowerment and Peace & Tolerance by Ms. Deep were also played for the audience. The Vice Chancellor emphasised on spreading peace and tolerance in light of Islamic teachings. The seminar concluded with an interactive session with participants and a collective pledge to promote tolerance, civic responsibility, and peaceful coexistence
