Country Director Turkiye Inaugurates Turkish Language Classes at GC Women University Faisalabad

Faisalabad, July 8, 2026: The Turkish Cultural Center at Government College Women University Faisalabad, established under the Yunus Emre Institute, successfully inaugurated its Turkish language classes for its first enrolled batch. Dr. Sadaf Naqvi, Focal Person of the Center, warmly welcomed Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.); Mr. Eren Miyaso??lu, Country Director, Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Centers, Pakistan; Prof. Halil Toker (who joined online), distinguished guests; enrolled learners; and other participants. The ceremony began with the national anthems of Pakistan and T??rkiye, followed by an exchange of greetings. Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen highlighted the importance of Turkish language education in strengthening Pakistan???T??rkiye academic and cultural relations. She appreciated the efforts of Dr. Sadaf Naqvi, Dr. Saira, Prof. Dr. Halil Toker, and Mr. Eren Miyaso??lu for their contributions towards launching the initiative. Prof. Dr. Halil Toker and Mr. Eren Miyaso??lu highlighted the academic, cultural, and scholarship opportunities available through Turkish language education. The Yunus Emre Institute is offering an A1-level Turkish language course to enrolled learners at GCWUF. The ceremony also featured cake-cutting and the exchange of souvenirs. The Country Director presented souvenirs to the Vice Chancellor and university officials, while GCWUF presented shields of honor to Mr. Eren Miyaso??lu and the Turkish language instructor.
