GCWUF Successfully Co-organized the International Conference on Recycling (ICOR)

Faisalabad, June 10, 2026: GC Women University Faisalabad in collaboration with the University of Kamalia and GC University Faisalabad, co-organized the International Conference on Recycling (ICOR) bringing together researchers, industry experts to discuss solutions for recycling for sustainable future. The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) participated in a panel discussion, emphasizing the importance of responsible common consuming behaviour and environmentally responsible lifestyles. She stressed that achieving the Sustainable Development Goals requires integrating recycling into daily life, campuses, homes and societal practices. Through ORIC, GCWUF faculty presented research on Agricultural Waste Management and Recycling, showcasing innovative ways to transform agricultural residues into valuable resources. The conference highlighted recycling technologies, circular economy practices in textile, food, poultry and other industries, and the need for stronger academia-industry-collaboration to advance sustainability through research and innovation.
