2-Day Capacity Building Training on Green Entrepreneurship, Life Skills & Active Citizenship. The Prime Minister s Youth Programme (PMYP), in collaboration with Bargad, Directorate of Academics & Faculty & Staff Development Center, and VSO Pakistan, organized a 2 day training workshop on Green Entrepreneurship, Life Skills, and Active Citizenship on March 5 6, 2026. The event was hosted at Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), Punjab. - Total trainees: 40 students from GCWUF. - Departments represented: Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Public Administration, and Commerce. - Day 1: Focused exclusively on Green Entrepreneurship. Sessions covered sustainable business models, eco friendly product development, and preparation of entrepreneurship plans for PMYP business loans. - Day 2: Dedicated to Life Skills and Active Citizenship. Modules included leadership development, responsible community contribution, and registration procedures for the National Volunteer Corps (NVC). Objectives Achieved 1. Equipped participants with life and leadership skills to become confident, responsible contributors to their communities. 2. Enabled young entrepreneurs to draft viable business plans, facilitating access to PMYP loans for green ventures. 3. Registered trainees into the National Volunteer Corps (NVC) for active citizenship engagement. Outcomes & Observations - Participants demonstrated strong interest in sustainable business practices and produced preliminary green enterprise proposals. - Interactive life skills sessions fostered teamwork and civic responsibility among IT, CS, Public Administration, and Commerce students. - Positive feedback was received on the relevance of the training to real world applications and community development. Recommendations- Extend similar workshops to other departments at GCWUF to broaden impact. - Incorporate mentorship programs for post training business plan implementation. - Monitor and evaluate the entrepreneurship projects funded through PMYP loans.
