MPU-Phase II 2nd Mentoring Session by Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.)

Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) Conducting 2nd Mentoring Session under HEC NAHE MPU Faculty & Staff Development Center (F&SDC), GCWUF The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), delivered the 2nd mentoring session under the HEC NAHE Mentoring Program for Universities (MPU) on 23 April 2026 at the Smart CS Lab, GCWUF, from 11:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. The session was organized by the Faculty & Staff Development Center (F&SDC), GCWUF, under the MPU NAHE HEC initiative. All approved mentors attended the session, while representatives from the Press and Media Cell and other administrative officers also participated, considering the significance of the mentoring modules. The session commenced with a focused presentation on Leadership Development, Ethics, and Integrity, wherein the Vice Chancellor elaborated on various leadership styles and their applicability in academic settings. Emphasis was placed on ethical leadership, principled decision-making, and integrity as key drivers of effective institutional functioning. The discussion subsequently extended into an interconnected and reflective engagement on broader aspects of mentoring practice. The Vice Chancellor highlighted the importance of fostering a respectful and supportive academic environment, encouraging appreciation of diverse perspectives and ensuring equitable participation. Mentors were also guided towards continuous self-assessment, adaptability, and ongoing professional development as essential components of effective mentoring.The session remained highly interactive and intellectually engaging, with active participation from mentors and attendees. The Vice Chancellor s delivery was concise, insightful, and practically oriented, facilitating clear understanding and effective conceptualization of mentoring dimensions. The session successfully integrated leadership principles with essential mentoring perspectives, equipping participants with practical insights to foster a balanced, respectful, and development-oriented academic environment under the MPU initiative.
