The Department successfully conducted the Capstone Project Business Idea Defense, providing students with an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to practical food product development and evaluation.The activity was initiated by Prof. Dr. Aysha Sameen (Chairperson) and coordinated by Dr. Mahwash Aziz (Focal Person), along with faculty members. The event enabled students to demonstrate their understanding of food science principles, quality assurance, packaging, shelf-life assessment, and research-based problem-solving while addressing real-world industry challenges. During the four-day session, more than 50 innovative business project ideas were presented by students, focusing on value-added, nutritious, safe, and consumer-acceptable food products.
